Mail a brick to junk mailers using paid postage
This has got to be one of the funniest ideas I've seen in a while. I've head of mailing junk mail back back to junk mailers using pre-paid postage, but this one has that idea beat:
I wonder how far one could take this. A broken washer machine?
MyGallons.com
Came across this earlier. Interesting in theory:
Basically, for $40/year membership, you prepay for gas at today's rate and that's what you pay until you use it all up. Sort of like a gift card for gas, but the number of gallons on the card stays the same, regardless of price changes.
Too bad this idea didn't come up years ago.
Firefox 3 to be released 6/17/08
After more than 34 months of active development, and with the contributions of thousands, we’re proud to announce that we’re ready. It is our expectation to ship Firefox 3 this upcoming Tuesday, June 17th. Put on your party hats and get ready to download Firefox 3 — the best web browser, period.
The SUV is officially dethroned
After reigning supreme for the better part of two decades, the mighty SUV has at long last fallen, done in by mounting fuel prices that have consumers embracing small cars and automakers scrambling to build them.
Is anyone really surprised? Gas is $3.99 at my local station. Pretty soon, we may be remembering the good old days when gas was less than $4/gallon.

Orrin Hatch: Software Pirate?
From the article:
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) suggested Tuesday that people who download copyright materials from the Internet should have their computers automatically destroyed.
But Hatch himself is using unlicensed software on his official website, which presumably would qualify his computer to be smoked by the system he proposes.
If you don't know who Orrin Hatch is, you should learn more about him so you can appreciate how annoying he is.
