Deborah Scaling Kiley: Albatross
Deborah Scaling Kiley: Albatross
Experiment:
Deborah Scaling Kiley and a crew that totalled 6 set out in October, 1982, on the Trashman, a 58-foot yacht, from Maine to Florida. Captain John, Meg and Deborah sailed from Maine to Annapolis. From there, they added two additional crew members: Mark and Brad.
Continuing their voyage without charts, the crew encountered high seas and gale winds off the coast of NC during the second day of their journey.
Google Chrome: Google's web browser
Google officially announced their own web browser available for download now:
Now more than ever, it's easier for Google to track every move you make online.
Small Site Layout Changes
I made a few small changes:
- Added a search bar on the right hand side (because I couldn't find an old post and needed)
- Removed one of the ad units from the single page listing so it's easier to read single pages
Still preferring this theme with this color layout for now.
I keep testing the ebay plugins (the SUV post earlier this week uses a different one)

George Washington's whiskey unearthed
Interesting read from CNN about George Washington's still:
At its peak, the distillery produced 11,000 gallons of liquor, which fetched the then-astronomical sum of $7,500.
"Washington was making what today would be called rye whiskey," White said. "It was about 60 percent rye, 35 percent corn and about 5 percent malted barley." Though it was probably distilled several times, White said modern distillers would consider it "white lightning, mad dog, moonshine" -- clear, young and sharp-tasting.
"We do think that he drank his own," she said in an interview.
